Chugawugs

Chugawugs are an NPC race in Free Realms. They are taller than humans with broad shoulders, distended bellies, yellow skin, and fangs that protrude from their closed mouths. They often have a dopey look on their faces and that, coupled with their posture, gives them a whimsical appearance.

As a race, the chugawugs have long been assigned the task of protecting the royal family. When Valerian’s parents, the King and Queen, were assassinated by poisoning the chugawugs took much of the blame and were exiled. In their exile they generally took one of three routes: relocation to Wugachug, a life of crime as a Thugawug, or serving the royal family as best they can by following Princess Lavender to Briarheart Palace.
