Card Duelist: History of the Crew

Card Duelist: History of the Crew is a quest for the Card Duelist job. As part of a series, it cannot be started until the previous quest has been completed.

The crew I was a part of used to devestate others in card games. Well... at least in the beginning.

There are some in town who could tell the story better than me. Speak with them to learn the history behind the Cardie Crew.

• Speak with Posey

I can't believe you've never heard of the Cardie Crew! They are only the four best duelists ever. Or were... I guess.

Each member mastered their own deck. They competed in a bunch of tournaments, but never played against each other.

Back in the day, duelists could only play one deck. Sheldon convinced Ari to play a nature deck, same as Maple Sugarleaf. She wanted to be the best, and lost.

The Crew disbanded because of it.

Sheldon was my favorite card duelist. Most people don't know that Shifty the Shuffler used to go by that name. That was before he drove a wedge between Maple Sugarleaf and Ari the Fish.

With a name like that, I'd opt for a change too! He's still my favorite, though. Never plays by the rules!

• Speak with Nirvi

I wouldn't go around asking questions about the original card duelists if I were you. Everyone knows that Ari the Fish went a bit whacky after her loss to Maple. She left a trail of wreckage on her retreat to Lavender Coast.

Who put you up to this anyway? Poe? Is he trying to get the crew back together?

• Speak with Guard Banee

You want to know about the Crew? I'm working right now, so I'll give you the facts. Poe, Shifty, Ari, and Maple formed the Cardie Crew. There was never any jealousy among the bunch, until Shifty suggested Ari couldn't beat Maple at her own deck.

Ari's ego got the best of her. She switched to playing a nature deck and challenged Maple. The defeat that followed was too much for Ari. She ran off toward Lavender Coast while Shifty happily watched the Crew disband.

Being a card duelist used to be all fun and games, but I think I can rebuild what we used to have with a new crew! Too bad no one takes me seriously anymore.
